  • Alpecin Double Effect Shampoo loosens scaly, keratinous cells and hleps to remove dandruff from the scalp. With the sclp cleared of dandruff, the caffeine complex can penetrate into the hair root and help strengthen it against hair loss.

This shampoo brought my dandruff back at a very worst

This shampoo brought my dandruff back at a very worst level. There were sometimes scratching my scalp and taking out pieces of dandruff. Unfortunately this product is not for my hair. For sure this product is not for Seborrhoeic dermatitis!!! So it seems at least. I must admit though that i felt my hair thicker. But no use as i was scratching my scalp all the time!

this shampoo is amazing for dandruff, best ive ever used, the shampoo smells really good too, however the hair loss bit is a load of bull.

My barber during a hair cut recommended I get a

My barber during a hair cut recommended I get a shampoo that works for dandruff, he said there was evidence of some and that my hair and scalp needed some drying out and that dandruff shampoo worked for that. I'm in my 40's and my hair is thinning so I thought I may as well get some hair loss shampoo at the same time to kill 2 birds with one stone. This is done through the caffeine complex with Alpecin and when you wash your hair, you leave it on for 2 minutes then wash it off. This works for me because my hair feels cleaner. As to whether it prevents further hair loss, who knows? You have to trust in the research. Would I have receded further had I not used this shampoo? I don't know but am happy to use it as you can't claim a product does something when it doesn't. Otherwise it makes your hair feel nice when it's washed and it isn't really that expensive so I've carried on using it and will keep doing so.
