Givenchy is a French company that has world wide status. They are famous for clothing, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics. The design house of Givenchy was developed by the designer Hubert de Givenchy in 1952. It is rumoured to have been developed after a meeting between Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn. The aim behind Givenchy is to offer the public a 'Givenchy Style' which is described as being French elegance meeting with American glamour all mixed together with an air of sophistication and modernity. Givenchy first released its woman's fragrance back in 1984 and it's first men's fragrance was released back in 1959. Since these early days, Givenchy's popularity and standards have grown and come on leaps and bounds. Givenchy now stands as one of the most world wide successful fragrance design houses. Givenchy have worked in collaboration with a number of well known celebrities including Justin Timberlake and Liv Tyler. Givenchy have always offered classic fragrances and until recently when Play was launched with the help of Justin Timberlake. Play has bought Givenchy's fragrances into the youth market attracting the attention of a younger audience. With so many Givenchy fragrances to choose from, the public are today truly spoiled for choice.
