It works great , I saw the results in 2 weeks

I have been using this for AHA treatment overnight, I was m face, use this (avoiding eyes) then apply an overnight cream. when I exfoliate in the am it helps remove the skin that this has lifted over night. This is a must have in my skincare line up.

I've been using both the gentle version of this Institut Esthederm AHA peel (containing 5% concentration) and this stronger one (appropriately labelled 'intensive' at 12% concentration) and it is powerful stuff. Whilst applying it, you must avoid sunlight as it makes the skin hypersensitive. If you use the strong concentration before your skin is 'used' to it, it will become red and bumpy. So it's best to ease into this regiment by starting with the gentle version once a day at night. If this is too strong, you can temper the serum creme with some simple Cetaphil or the like. The results for your skin are good, however, and are worth a little patience. The results are not a dramatic difference, but your overall skin tone does improve as the top layer of your skin is rejuventated over time. The bottle isn't too large but should last for a full month to month and a half of use given you should not use too much of it. It's not like a mask where you slather the lotion on. Institut Esthederm's products seem, without exception, to be excellent-quality skin care made with top ingredients. This Intensive AHA Peel is no exception. This is therefore recommended for a subtle but meaningful increase in skin's tone and appearance. Just be careful to not overdo it.

AHAs (Alpha hydroxy acid) have been around for quite some time but have increased in popularity recently as an alternative to a physical exfoliant. Like physical exfoliants, AHA products make your skin much more sensitive to the sun as the outer protective layer of the skin is reduced. It is very important to protect your skin from the sun after using AHA products by wearing sun screen and wide rimmed hats if spending a prolonged period of time outside. This particular peel has a higher than average AHA concentration. This means that it will be more harsh on your skin but will achieve the intended result faster. It's definitely not something I would consider for daily use. Maybe once or twice a week. I did use it at that frequency for about a month with promising results. My skin looks much smoother and my pores have shrunk. It certainly does have the potential to cause irritation or skin sensitivity issues but as long as used correctly, it works wonders. It does have a subtle but persistent scent that might bother those who are highly sensitive but it did not irritate me. I would probably recommend that most people start with a lower concentration and work their way up to 12.5 as it may cause too much sensitivity to jump straight into a high concentration.

Before using this product, I am glad that I read the reviews. The instructions on the box and the product itself are unclear. I followed the instructions listed by previous users and, by doing so, I enjoyed this product. At first, I used too much and I really felt a burn on my face. I lessened the amount I used and, even though there was still a bit of burning, I could tell that the product was working. My skin feels softer and I can tell that some of my pores are getting smaller. After I use the product, I wait about 15 minutes and put on a moisturizer. My skin feels tight after using this product.
