an older mans scent?

Can I say that? Oops. Doesnt last long either way and seems way to over priced in my opinion. Doing some research, neroli colognes are premium steam distilled (from the blossoms of bitter orange). I guess its fancy. I dont care for it. Sample in a department store before blind buying on MyPerfumeShop.

Nice scent, but a bit too strong for my taste

Perfumes and colognes are a bit subjective. What someone likes, another won't. With this one, I was a bit on the fence. The smell is not bad, but it's a bit more potent than I like. Plus, as another reviewer said: it has a bit of a bug spray scent to it. The deciding factor was my wife. I put this on after I shaved and my wife said she preferred my old cologne. So I guess I'll stick to that.

Light and slightly too floral

I really like the fresh spray of the Bergamot & Neroli cologne by Art of Shaving. However, to me, the floral scent lingers after some time passes and the citrusy notes fade out for me. I don't like that smell as much but this isn't an overwhelming cologne to me. I generally like the Art of Shaving's other products. The cologne comes in a spray bottle as pictured. How you perceive the smell may well vary from my perception. What I experience is the bergamot smell brings the fresh, light orangish notes to the forefront after application. It's pleasing to me and not overpowering. After some timeand I tested this spraying a napkin but also wearing on my neckI start to sense the sweetness get replaced by more floral notes from the neroli. I generally prefer less floral notes in a cologne but this remains fairly light and not at all noxious to me.

Smells a Bit Like Bug Spray and Premium Priced Cologne

I'm going to cut straight to the chase with this review - the Bergamot & Neroli cologne by The Art of Shaving is a high-priced cologne that (to me) isn't worth the asking price. That doesn't mean that I don't like certain aspects of this cologne, I do. The light citrus scent is pretty good and suitable for Spring and Summer months. The biggest issue, price aside, is the scent reminds me a lot of OFF! brand bug spray. I'm not trying to be funny either, whatever citrus blend that The Art of Shaving came up with for this cologne smells very similar to the aforementioned bug spray. It's not just me either, after applying the cologne post-shower I asked my wife what the smell reminded her of and she immediately said bug spray. Obviously, this cologne lacks some of the punch of OFF! and doesn't leave you feeling like you just applied bug spray but the main fragrance is just way too similar. For me, I'll stick with my favorite cologne's that I've used for years. Which are considerably cheaper that The Art of Shaving Cologne.
