Furla Preziosa Eau de Parfum 100ml Spray

I received this item from the MyPerfumeShop Vine Program. The item came in well packed and presented. It is also sealed which is good! I was so excited to try this when it arrived but I found it too strong so I was disappointed. However after maybe 30 minutes the smell was not too strong anymore. It smelled fresh and feminine not overpowering anymore. Surprisingly it gets better as I wear it. It also last long so great for evening dinners/ parties. It doesn't last the whole day though but I am still happy with it.

I have included the photo of the perfume bottle in my hand to show the size of it - something about the listing photo made me expect a much smaller bottle. To be honest, when my wife first sprayed this on her wrist we were both a bit overpowered by the very strong florally scent - perhaps she was a bit to heavy-handed with the spray button. I can't say I know what saffron or pink pepper smell like but it was quite sweet and floral so it may have been the rose and freesia that hit us first. However, after some time, it had lost that initial strident quality and had settled down to be a very delicate, pleasant scent - the vanilla was certainly coming through by then.

This is an amazing fragrance but quite strong. After a few hours though, the scent tends to smooth down and is not that overpowering any longer. The bottle is simple, which may not be the prettiest bottle but the fragrance is very attractive. Even two days later in the summer weather, the scent was still detectable in the clothing. This is the fragrance to go for, if someone is looking for a scent that lasts a long time. A nice scent composition. Saffron, Bergamot and Pink Pepper are the top notes. Rose Eo, Geranium and Freesia are the middle/heart notes. Vanilla, Suede and Ambramone are the base notes. FURLA is an Italian Brand. The price is relatively high for a small bottle of Preziosa, approximately 30 at the time of review. But I would still recommend it because it's an attractive, long lasting fragrance.

The item description says it has ' a beautifully feminine and luxurious fragrance ' and it really does, if your definition of feminine is flowery and sweet. As I sprayed the scent, the first notes are very strong, but pleasant. Saffron and pink pepper according to the description, neither of which I can verify as I am not familiar with them. As the scent settles, the flowery sweetness becomes stronger. A little too much for me, but if you appreciate perfume like 'Anais Anais', which I was reminded of, you will love this. The spray is long lasting, so great value, and as the final notes came through, I found myself liking the subtle fragrance more. More vanilla - than floral , it suited me better. The description says the other bottom note is ' suede'. I have no clue if that was incorporated in what I detected - it may be a small acknowledgement of Furla having its origins in the manufacture of Italian leather handbags and other small accessories . The bottle itself is simple and understated, which I prefer for a handbag. Overall, I wouldn't buy this for myself, but if I knew someone who likes a floral, sweeter smell, I would definitely recommend it.

There's something very luxurious about this fragrance: it's rich and sensual with a sophisticated floral scent, deep vanilla notes and something that reminds me a little of juicy, ripe figs. It's eau de parfum so it's a long-lasting fragrance; I found it to be quite a strong perfume so I end up using a lot less, literally one spritz is sufficient for me (great from a longevity/budget perspective!); the scent develops beautifully over the course of the day, with the vanilla notes enduring even as it fades. It's an elegant bottle design that suggests understated elegance to me and looks great on the dressing table. Honestly, I love it! This is one very classy, alluring fragrance.
