John Varvatos JV x NJ Crimson Eau de Toilette 75ml Spray

This smells amazing! It is a nice strong smell and smells soapy clean. I can't stop sniffing my other half when he sprays this 😂 The smell also does not fade much during the day, I could still smell it on him when he walked into the door after a day at work.

This smells really nice I have a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old and a husband who is 42 and they are all using it. Bit pricey in my opinion for a celebrity brand as it's price is more like a designer brand but it does smell really nice and lasts all evening on them

The scent of this is absolutely gorgeous, really sweet and sensual, definitely an attractive scent, without being overpowering. Really attractive looking bottle with a cute tag. Quite expensive but quite a large bottle and just smells beautiful

Enticing, rich and sensual, the fragrance has an alluring hook of Cuban rum that is charged by energizing bergamot and carbonated coffee.' ooOoo Exactly as currently pictured in the above stock images, this quality eau de toilette spray comes in a cellophane-wrapped, graded shades of burgundy coloured cardboard box that measures around 9.5 cm x 11.5 cm x 3.75 cm Inside, the heavy glass bottle is protected in a cardboard inner lining. The bottle is presented in graded shades of dark red with a neat pearlescent effect, which contrasts with a silver grey shade for the metal-type cap & neck label, both engraved with jvXNJ' & john varvatos'/NICK JONAS', so there is no doubting the pedigree of your new EdT! The neck label is on a short leathery-type thong and can be removed, if preferred. Around 8.5 cm wide (max), the perfectly smooth bottle stands around 11 cm tall, with the hexagonal-shaped metal-type cap in situ. The cap is the usual heavy style ~ a trademark of the 'jv' brand ~ that pulls off to reveal the quality spray top underneath. [8 images attached]

The quality of the product, if you are planning to give this as a gift, is excellent. The bottle is thick, crimson coloured and has a hexagonal stopper in matt metal that resembles a wheel nut from a car. Round the neck is a tag, also in matt metal, inscribed JV x NJ. I took a photo of the box and bottle as part of this review. It seems quite a rare scent, certainly not one I see or smell often - though I have to confess I don't spend a lot of time searching these things out! I think it might have originally been a limited release that has perhaps been given a wider exposure. What does it smell like? I sprayed a some on my wrist and a bit on my neck. The first smell I got, and it lasted only seconds, was of citrus, but it was replaced really quickly as the spray evaporated by a more spicy, leathery scent - with (to me at least) more than a hint of spiced Christmas coffee- with rum (a favourite and one I really wasn't expecting!). An hour later, and I asked around for office opinions. First thing was that it was popular, and people wanted to know what it was. Second thing was that the NJ' connection raised a few eyebrows - though that was probably my age (I'd have got a similar reaction, no doubt, if I'd said I had just become a major fan of the Jonas brothers). Third thing, and the nicest surprise, was that two people asked where I'd got it and could I get them one too. So it does definitely seem popular. By this time, I'd say the smell was very amber-y, and wood-y. I really liked it - I think there's no doubt it's a younger person's scent, but I enjoyed wearing it and will be buying another bottle when this is gone.. Overall, I think you could say it's a bit like Sauvage (not Eau Sauvage, though). How does it last. Well, it goes through changes when you wear it, and it is quite light, but it certainly lasted 4 hours and was noticed - and complimented - after that time. By evening, I think it had faded, but it was never one of those scents that grabbed you and wouldn't let go - it's more subtle than that. I keep coming back to a spicy, fruity coffee with rum - if that makes sense. It reminded me of happy winter days, log fires, and that picture-book snow scene where everyone is happy and no one is cold! Overall An unusual scent, and one that not everyone is wearing. Not too strong, but noticeable, and people did like it. Mainly amber and woodiness after a while, but as I said earlier, there's definitely spice, coffee and rum in the mix somewhere. It was a really pleasant surprise, and one I'll be buying more of.
